“?=2 Today” speaks volumes of DAVII’s musical talent and identity and somehow makes listeners feel a little closer to DAVII, both as an artist and an individual. Kpopmap had the amazing opportunity of interviewing DAVII and we took the chance to fill that gap even further. In a quick round of short and fun questions, DAVII opened up about his peculiar habits, the wallpaper on his phone, and more. He introduced himself as the artist with answers before elaborating on his stage name. “DAVII” sounds like “답이” in Korean, which means “the answer” and thus, DAVII chose his stage name to represent having the answer to a question. This meaning is carried over to his mini-album series “?=”, which refers to having the question to an answer, instead of the other way around. In a later part of the interview, DAVII revealed that his favourite Korean word is “saranghae”, which means “I love you” and his favourite English phrase is similarly, also “I love you”.
